Uppumaanga(Salted raw mango)


Ingredients

Raw mango-1/2kg
Salt-to taste

Water-

Method

Clean and wash the mangoes.Dry them with a towel and keep aside .
Here i didnt` get small type of mangoes which we used to  make uppumanga..
So i  bought big mangoes and cut them into small lengthwise pieces .
Boil water along with salt  and let it cool down .
Take a glass jar or bharani and pour these mangoes to the jar .
Then add the cooled salt water to the jar .Water level should be
above the mangoes.
Here i added 3  green chilly slices (coz i used mango pieces)
Check the salt and add if needed.
Tightly cover the jar and use only after 1 month ..
U can make uppumaga chammthi using this .
