Ingredients

Chickpeas/Garbanzos -1cup
Big Onion-3big
Chena masala powder-1tbsp
Tomato paste-1/2cup
Ginger-Garlic Paste-1tbsp
Green Chillies-2(finely chopped)
Cumin seeds-1tsp
Chilly Powder-1/2tsp
Turmeric Powder-1/4tsp
Salt-to taste
Coriander Leaves-1/4 cup (for garnishing)

Method

Soak the chickpeas overnight..Wash them and pressure cook till done…

Heat oil in a kadai and splutter1/2tsp of cumin seeds…Then add finely chopped onion and saute till it get translucent .

Add ginger-garlic paste and saute till the onion become light brown .

Then add 1tbsp of chena masala powder,saute for few second in low flame ,add tomato pure ,1/2tsp of cumin seeds,red chilly powder and turmeric powder .Saute for 10 seconds .

Add finely chopped green chilly.

Now add 1/2cup of water and cooked chena to the masala .Check the salt .(In chena masala powder salt is already there) So carefully add the needed salt.Stir well and allow to boil..Cook till the gravy thickens in semi medium consistency …..When done transfer into a serving dish and garnish with chopped coriander leaves ….Serve with batura ….
